ABOUT US

The Pro-Therapy practice was established in 1989 with the intention of providing a place where excellence in physiotherapy could be practiced, in a definite contrast to most local physiotherapy practices at that time. Most other practices had inconvenient opening times (usually between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday), allowed very little time for the physiotherapist to spend with each patient (typically 15 minute appointments) and there was very little hands-on treatment.

When Pro-Therapy first opened, we extended opening hours (from 7.30 am to 8pm). The clinic is also open on Saturdays. Treatment was predominantly hands-on manual therapy.

Pro-Therapy was the leader in high-quality service back then and it continues the tradition to this day. The clinic is still open long hours and it still maintains a high standard of hands-on manual therapy that is often lacking in other clinics.

It is true to say that Pro-Therapy led the revolution in private physiotherapy service provision in this part of Sydney.

As the community and local doctors voted with their feet and rapidly made Pro-Therapy the busiest, independent physiotherapy practice in the area, other therapy services were incorporated into the clinic. Each of the new practitioners needed to be an expert in their field, provide a service that was accessible to the community and give plenty of time in appointments such that genuine relationships could be established between therapist and patient.

We have and always will be open when you need us, be good at what we do, take the time to do it well and have ready access to a network of other skilled therapists and doctors.

Our list of excellent therapy services now includes physiotherapy (incorporating The McKenzie Method), remedial massage, acupuncture and psychology.
