Founded by Gerry Bakx in 1979, Prompt Plumbing has been a family owned and operated business from inception and serving Perth metropolitan areas. Prompt Plumbing has quickly earned a reputation as a plumbing repair company that takes care of the problem on the first call.
Gerry first became involved in the plumbing industry in 1965, in a plumbing company based in Osborne Park. He quickly found himself immersed in residential and commercial repair, remodel and construction plumbing. The company he worked for was known as the company who could solve the problems that no one else could solve.
Gerry has always thought through the plumbing problems he encountered and got the jobs done right the first time. That early experience in Gerry’s plumbing career has coloured his philosophy about service and repair to plumbing services.

In 1979, Gerry had decided to work for himself and was hired by some of the biggest builders in Perth to contract their work. Gerry and his crew of plumbers successfully completed some of the largest multi developments in Perth.
There he honed his skills as a problem solver and gained a reputation for getting jobs done right the first time. Gerry believes it is important that he be intimately involved with the day to day activities of his plumbers. He knows that it is his satisfied customers who have made Prompt Plumbing a success.

Our equipment includes a high-pressure water jetting machine for grease lines, CCTV camera inspection and an old fashion electric eel for tree roots.
Drains are any exit point from the home that delivers used materials to a sanitary sewer or septic system. These can be internal sinks and toilets as well as outside drains. Over time all drains can become clogged with grease, soaps, and hair build up. Our plumbers un-clog, and if necessary, replace drains and minimize your drainage problems.

Available With Any Service
Your service technician will walk through your home inspecting your plumbing system and tighten any loose faucet handle, packing nut or other minor repair during the inspection process. (Each emergency shut-off under the sinks, toilets, water heater and main water shut-off will be tested to insure that they will operate in case of an emergency.)
Gas connectors will be inspected visually as well as any piping. You will be shown where your emergency water shut-off and emergency gas shut-off valves are located.
