Rad1 United Plumbing and Drainage Pty Ltd is based in the inner western suburbs of Sydney specialising in commercial installations in the education, food, petrochemical and hospital sector, additionally we also undertake apartment and residential projects.

Our Commitment is to provide excellent workmanship and high quality products to every project we undertake this is exemplified by the implementation and operation of our Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the International standards AS/NZ ISO 9001:2000 thus ensuring that all workmanship and materials used are in accordance with the relevant specifications and/or our client’s requirements.

We also offer value engineering to our customers in an effort to provide viable alternatives in materials to endeavor to lower project costs. Our office is currently located in Lakemba, Sydney. In most cases, all the materials necessary to complete the most emergency projects are at hand so there are no shipping or manufacturing delays.

Cast Iron, PVC, Copper, HDPE…..you name it we have installed and repaired it, our 400 square metre workshop is fully stocked with enough pipework to get you out of trouble 24 hours a day, yes some of our plumbers don’t sleep a lot.

Backflow Prevention

Most People get a bit confused about this… Backflow occurs when a contaminated source enters the water supply. The contaminated source can enter through a cross connection with the drinking water supply. A backflow incident can cause health concerns for people using your water.

A backflow prevention containment device ensures that when there is a cross connection the drinking water supply cannot be contaminated. There are different types of devices which can be installed depending on the hazard rating of the property.

Thermostatic Mixing Valves

Scalds from hot tap water can result in serious injuries particularly when the scald occurs in the bath or shower. Children, older people and people with a disability are particularly at risk of scald burns, Sydney Water Regulations state that it is mandatory that the maximum temperature for delivery of hot water in bathroom areas is 43.5 – 50 degrees celcius, dependant on the building classification.

It is mandatory in NSW that all new hot water systems in domestic situations store water at 60 degrees celcius while delivering water to outlets used primarily for personal hygiene (ie showers baths & basins) at a maximum 50 degrees celcius.
