A tattoo is a permanent mark or design made on the body when pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin through punctures in the skin’s top layer. Tattoos were meant to be permanent, so removing them until now was difficult.

There are many factors that influence the extent of tattoo removal such as the colours used, size, location and the individual’s ability to heal. Also, how the tattoo was applied and how long it has been in place are important. As there are many different colours used in tattoos some that are mixed by the artist themselves, complete removal may not be guaranteed. However, your laser professional will be able to inform you of this on your initial consultation.
