Chris McKenna

Chris graduated from Cumberland College of Health Sciences with a Degree in Physiotherapy in 1984. His first appointment was at Liverpool Hospital where he developed an interest in the treatment of neck and back pain. He then worked in private practice and at Fairfield Hospital during the years of 1987 to 1989. In 1989, he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Chris started working part time at both the Roseville Physiotherapy Centre in 1992 and at the Dalcross Physiotherapy unit.

In 1997, he became a practice partner of the Roseville Physiotherapy Centre and in late 1997 along with his practice partner Tracey Powell, also established a new practice at West Pymble shopping Centre.

Roseville Physiotherapy Centre is a community focussed practice, and Chris has been involved with the Gordon Rugby Club and the Gordon Cricket Club and local soccer, bowls and AFL clubs providing advice and support to the players.

Chris has expertise in treating and advising on neck and back pain and has experience in prescribing customised exercise programs for the elderly and those with conditions such as diabetes.

Chris is a keen golfer, cyclist, enjoys bushwalking with his wife Deborah and also attends a gym.

TRACEY POWELL

Tracey graduated in 1982 from Cumberland College of Health Sciences with a Degree in Physiotherapy. Her first appointment was to Sydney Hospital where she was employed for over 4 years. During this time she also enjoyed secondments to Coorabel Rehabilitation Hospital and Bourke District Hospital. She also travelled overseas, working in the UK.

In 1987 Tracey joined Westmead Hospital as the Student Supervisor in outpatients, supervising 2nd and 4th year physiotherapy students. Whilst there she completed a Graduate Diploma in Sports Science (part-time) and a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy (full-time).

In 1990 Tracey came to work at Roseville Physiotherapy Centre. In the first 5 years Tracey was the physiotherapist for Gordon Rugby Union Club, and over the years has also been associated with AFL, soccer and netball clubs.

Tracey’s expertise is in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, particularly sports injuries and neck and back conditions.

Tracey is married with 4 daughters and keeps active by playing netball and jogging.

JANN CLAPHAM

Jann graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from University of Sydney in 1976, converting it to a Degree in Applied Science in 2000. Her career began as a physiotherapist at Royal North Shore Hospital in 1977 before travelling and working overseas.

On her return, Jann gained experience in paediatrics and disability and also taught final year students. She has spent time working in New Zealand widening her interest in adult physiotherapy and prior to starting at the Roseville Physiotherapy Centre Jann had her own practice and worked at the Mater Private Hospital in orthopedics.

Since joining the Roseville Physiotherapy Centre in 1997 to provide a home visit service for those people who are unable to come in to the rooms, Jann has also been involved in a weekly clinic with a foot and ankle surgeon at the Sydney Adventist Hospital since 2004..

Jann is married with 2 children and keeps her sanity playing tennis and is a competitive sailor.
