Amy has always had artistry running through her veins and a strong passion for creativity.

Dabbling in many areas of the creative industry, she eventually followed the advice of friends to become a tattooist in 2013.

Although the work is hard and tiresome with many long hours she says it is one of the most rewarding jobs she has ever done.

“To have clients that are proud to showcase your artwork on their skin for life is absolutely humbling.”

Although she enjoys and appreciates many styles of tattooing, the styles she most enjoys are black and grey, realism, portrait and nature.

Stemming from her incredible pencil drawings which are often mistaken for photographs, she loves anything that has super detail that can make a tattoo seem real.

When Amy isn’t tattooing she spends her time with her husband Hugh usually working on cars and projects that she can pour her creativity into as well.

Biography
I’m Amy Elizabeth and I’ve been a tattoo artist since 2013. I have an extensive background in realistic drawing and creative design, a passion for perfection and an extremely steady hand! I work out of my private studio in Epping, Victoria. Our studio is registered with the local council and adheres to strict guidelines.
I am fully trained in infection control and blood borne pathogens, and our studio operates under strict guidelines to ensure all tattooing procedures are within sterile conditions and reduces any risks to the client and myself. We only use single use needles, grips and tubes which are all autoclaved.
I am an artist that will listen to your requirements and will go the extra mile to give you the tattoo design you’re happy with. Our studio is a relaxed atmosphere and I promise to ensure that your tattoo experience is a good one!
I mostly enjoy black and grey realism, but am open to any styles or requirements. I also have experience in tattoo coverups.

Aftercare

Prior Tattoo Preparation:

Get a good nights sleep, be well rested
Eat well and stay hydrated
Avoid alcohol & blood thinning medications (warfarin, aspirin, Ibuprofen)
Bring a sugary drink, snacks and lollies – keep blood sugars up
Have a shower – our studio is clean, you should be too!
Don’t put on creams, makeup on the tattoo area
Wear loose comfortable clothing
Avoid bringing children and crowds of friends for OH&S reasons

Tattoo Aftercare (First 7 days):

If tattoo is bandaged, remove the bandage after 1-2 hours
Wash the tattoo immediately with liquid soap and warm water
Only use clean hands to wash the tattoo, do not rub it with abrasive cloths, only hands
Pat dry with clean paper towel only
Allow to air dry
Apply a very tiny thin amount of aftercare cream (TattooGoo, Hustle Butter, etc)
Repeat washing at least 2-3 times daily for 7days

Tattoo Aftercare (After 7 days):

Repeat washing the tattoo at least 2 times daily for a further 7 days
Change to a general moisturiser that is perfume free (eg. Coconut Oil based, Shea butter, Sorbolene, Cetaphil)
Only use small amounts of moisturiser to avoid pimples
Skin will start to peel naturally like sunburn (it’s normal to see ink in the flakes)
DO NOT pick, peel or excessively rub the tattoo. This can pull out ink premeturely. You want to avoid costly touch-ups!
It will get super itchy, avoid scratching the tattoo. Instead tap/slap the skin and apply cool water or moisturiser.

Tattoo Aftercare (After 2 weeks):

Keep the tattoo area clean and moisturised
Skin will be shiny and fragile, but will become more normal as healing continues
The top layer of skin will completely peel off and rejuvenate by 5-6 weeks
Heavily tattooed areas may take longer to heal and appear less bright, this will improve over time
The ink also takes time to settle in the skin, be patient.
Any questions, feel free to ask your artist. They are more than happy to help!

The Studio and Artists

Our studio is registered with our local council and is regularly monitored by the Victorian Health Department. All our procedures are performed strictly according to the health regulations, guidelines and Acts that relate to the tattooing industry in Victoria.
We ensure our studio is an environment that minimises the risks to our clients and artists.
We use a regularly serviced autoclave to sterilise all equipment for use on our clients. Each item is cleaned, packaged individually and sterilised. All needles are bought from our supplier pre-packaged and sterile, and are single use only. We do not use needles twice.
All artists are trained in infection control and blood borne diseases, and OH&S.
All hazardous contaminated waste (including sharps) are handled and disposed of according to EPA regulations.
Client Requirements

The client must be 18 years or older to be tattooed and supply a proof of age.
As a requirement for public liability insurance, all clients are to fill out and sign a consent form prior to being tattooed.
We will supply aftercare instructions after the tattoo procedure and we ask that they are followed to ensure a smooth healing process.
No alcohol or drugs are to be consumed by the client prior or during the procedure. These can create many issues and complications with applying a tattoo, including the healing process.
Tattooing can be taxing on your immune system. Please ensure that you are well rested and are in a generally healthy state prior to your appointment. If applicable, please let the artist know ahead of time if you have of any medical conditions or blood related illnesses. This can increase healing time, complications with the procedure and possibly cause secondary infection.
Strictly no children are to be brought to the studio for Health and Safety Regulations. It can be extremely difficult for the artist and client to focus on the procedure when children are present also increasing the danger and risks of injury.
Please avoid bringing groups of friends. Similarly, it can be extremely difficult for the artist and client to focus on the procedure.
It is important that you as the client understand the risks involved with getting a tattoo. Although our studio goes to great lengths to minimise these risks, there is always risks involved with skin penetration procedures. Please ensure that you read and understand fully the described risks and complications supplied to you prior to your tattoo.
