Sanctuary Salon & Spa opened in 1998 – our dream was to open a full service boutique salon that incorporated the best of hair, beauty, spa and retail products.

Aromatherapy was beginning to blossom in Australia, and ever mindful of our guests and our own well being we decided to search out a product that was gentle and nurturing for everyone who comes into contact with it.

Aveda was a natural choice whose philosophy matched our own.

Call it the butterfly effect, domino theory or just plain common sense, but it’s true – the smallest decisions make a difference… even the products you use.

Aveda began in the mid seventies, and has grown to become a world leader in hair care, skincare and make-up products sourced from organically grown, sustainable ingredients wherever possible.

Even the packaging has had a previous life.

The Sanctuary Salon & Spa team are committed to providing a service that is the best we can. Why? Because you deserve it. We are also committed to doing the best for our environment.

This philosophy is reflected in the services we do, the products we sell, the people we employ and how we impact on the world around us.

We are the first to admit we don’t always get it right, but we are committed to being and doing better.

We respond to your comments and action them. We serve a range of Organic herbal teas and we have rejected energy wasteful bottled water in favour of multi filtered, oxygenated water that comes from our local supply.

We try to save whatever power we can, wherever we can.

We have rejected water wasting, power hungry spa treatments in favour of smarter less wasteful ones, and use sustainable technology wherever possible.
