As seen on A Current Affair Tracey, the founder of Sassyme, being filmed by A Current Affair. Tracey gave them an insight on the do’s and don’t within the Hair Extension industry.

Sassyme started in 2011 with the dedication and focus of Owner Tracey Larkham.

Having family in similar industries, she’d always had a flare and passion for all things hair.

You’ll often here her say “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”.

And thats exactly what she decided to make come true.

While still working a normal 9-5, Tracey ventured into the Hair Extensions world from home.

Initially, it was just family and friends. But as word began to spread, it soon became very distant family, friends of friends.

And that’s just when she realised just how many girls want to feel sexy and often need that confidence boost.

She understood exactly what it felt like to have had too many bad haircuts.

She, herself, had been getting extensions for years and she wanted other women

to know that it is possible to get your femininity back when you feel like you’ve lost it.

Eventually it became too busy and Tracey was running out of free time.

She quit her job and dove head first into building Sassyme from the ground up.

Tracey began employing people and stocking hair consistently to keep up with demand, more courses were undergone and more services introduced.

Eyelash extensions, spray tans, makeup, hairdressing.. and after 3.5 years of fun, many different hair colours and lots of hard work, Sassyme moved to a beautiful, brand new shop in Penrith’s CBD.

And the rest is, as they say, history.
