Our Story

Shape for Hair is a small hair salon that has been operating in Bathurst, NSW, for over 35 years. Our friendly, experienced and qualified staff provide services for all ages.

Our Staff

Owner of Shape for Hair, Helen Coops, has been hairdressing for 46 years. During that time, she has witnessed and experienced the ever-changing trends that saw the rising popularity of those Farrah Fawcett waves in the 70’s, crimping and teasing in the 80’s, flat twists and butterfly clips in the 90’s and everything in between. There isn’t a roller that Helen hasn’t rolled, a colour she hasn’t created or a style she hasn’t perfected.

Second year apprentice, Ash Griffin, has the world at her feet. Helen has taken many apprentices under her wing throughout the years, many of which now own their own successful salons all over the country. With Helen’s vast knowledge and training skills combined with Ashleigh’s ambition, she too has the ability to move forward and develop her own hairdressing story.
