“I just want to thank the team at Stefan Garden City Mt Gravatt for doing an amazing job on my daughter’s hair and makeup for her grade 12 formal a couple of weeks ago. She looked absolutely beautiful and I could tell she felt like a million dollars on her special night. We are a single parent family and spending the money on professional hair an makeup was a sacrifice but it was worth every penny because you guys did such a great job. It was the perfect match for her outfit – she looked like a 1930s screen siren! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us make wonderful precious memories in her last week of high school. I cannot express my appreciation enough!”
“I went in to stefans in the CBD to get a trim, my balayage relightend and some of the regrowth lightened as well and then coloured a bright purple. Which is what the lady I discussed this with seemed to be saying. However, the other lady who did all the actual work started by lightening other different sections, dyed the top third of my existing lightened hair a very average looking very dark brown and then half heartedly lightened the ends she’d left alone. I did attempt to question this as it was happening but got brushed off. After this she put the purple dye in which made some of the ends a dusty lavender, but didn’t have any impact on much of the lightened hair. I was then told that purple can be tricky and it might improve as I washed it. this was surprising to be told at a professional salon as I’d managed a better job my first go at home.
Then I couldn’t have quite as much hair off as I’d wanted as she’d done all the dying first and didn’t want to cut it all off.
So in short, for $240 and nearly 4 hours under a flickering light I’ve lost the lightened hair I really liked, have had almost all my ends lightened, and my hairs mostly an extremely dark brown colour I hate, and wasn’t consulted on, except for a few bits that have been bleached, some of which are purpleish if held up to bright light away from the rest of my hair.
This hair cut is distressingly bad, mostly because it’s nothing like was agreed to.
On a positive note the kiwi lady who did the washing etc was lovely and has arranged for me to come in and get it fixed up. No idea if this will work though, but can’t afford to pay another $2-3 hundred for a different hairdresser to fix it.”
“Carindale customer service was crap. I was a loyal customer for years. Not only did I get my hair done at your salons but our whole family purchased all of our haircare from you. Decided to try a new haircare range based one of your hairdresses advice, I even purchased two packs of the Shampoo, Conditioner and Treatment. After using the first pack realised it wasnt for me. Tried to take the additional pack that I purchased back to the Carindale store so that I could swap it for something more suitable. (Didnt ask for a refund just wanted to swap!)
Package was untouched and still in original packaging. Was told by the Manager that I could not get a refund because it was after the two week return policy but if I found evidence of the purchase i.e. receipt or credit card statement I could swap it for something else. Left the store found the statement then returned only to be told no they confirmed with head office that I couldnt even swap it because their policy only allows two weeks for a return. But I was free to ring head office. Rang head office had to leave a message then no return call. Shame on you Stefan. $80 down the drain for a product that I wont be using. So much for “you dont love it we’ll give you your money back”. You have lost my business and my loyality.”
“I attended the Loganholme Stefan today for just a wash and blow dry as I’m heavily pregnant and thought I would treat myself. I paid $55.95 for a tea & tidy/very new apprentice to briefly shampoo my hair once and then massage conditioner for 1 minute. She then blow dryed my hair without a brush until dry and another lady came over and straightened my hair (which did turn out niceish in the end). I did address my concerns with the brief wash and the lady asked if I wanted it done again but I said no as I was on a time limit and felt like a bother. Just not a nice experience and did not felt like I got what I paid for. I won’t be back.”
