“I just want to thank the team at Stefan Garden City Mt Gravatt for doing an amazing job on my daughter’s hair and makeup for her grade 12 formal a couple of weeks ago. She looked absolutely beautiful and I could tell she felt like a million dollars on her special night. “I took my daughter to have her hair cut a week ago at the Aspley Store in Brisbane. Having heard good things about Stefan recently I made the appointment with a positive mindset. From the start of the appointment things went pear shaped. The hairdresser was not friendly and basically spent a good 20-30 minutes telling us why the colour my daughter wanted for her hair (a basic mild lightening balayage style) would require multiple products and many trips back to the salon to maintain. We decided against the colour and just went for the cut. Before the cut began the hairdresser gave me the quote for the haircut, which was $30 more than was quoted to me when I made the appointment. I questioned this before I paid towards the end of the appointment and was told that because my daughters hair was so long they had to charge extra, however the hairdresser doing the cut had told me the extra cost was because we wanted it straightened. My daughter is 16 so qualifies for the student packages. I came to a compromise with another hairdresser there that she could get some special package that included products for $20 less than I was being asked to pay. Why was this not offered to begin with? Do you deliberately charge extra hoping that people will not look at the packages themselves and question you??

Back to the cut. My daughters hair was past her waist when we arrived. When she left the salon we didn’t realise until we got home that her hair was actually cut on an angle at the back. And it was much shorter than requested.

I returned a few days later to ask if it could be fixed as she was going back go school in a few weeks and crooked hair is not ok. No worries, she was booked in for the next day, which was today. At the end of the appointment I was asked if the cut was alright. My daughters hair was still wet at this stage so I said it was hard to tell unless it’s dry. It seems as though they blast dried it under sufference. Her hair was not styled and was still difficult to tell if the cut had been improved. At home she has now straightened her hair again and not only is it still on an angle, there are bits that are longer in places.

To say I’m not happy is an understatement. I will now have to pay another hair dresser to fix TWO mistakes made by your staff. There is absolutely NO way that I would return to see if any Stefan hairdresser could fix this.
