About Shellac

Shellac nails has become a new fashion craze to perfectly finish off your look. Colours that go on in minutes, dry in 60 seconds and last up to two weeks without chipping, peeling or fading.

Application Process

There are three products are used. A primer, top and base coat and colour. These products are set by using a UV lamp. Each nail takes about 60 seconds to set under the lamp.

Removal Process

Nails will be soaked in special nail colour remover. The colour will soften and the polish will flake off.

Eyelash extensions

Eyelash extensions take between one and two hours to apply depending on the number of lashes you have and the look you wish to create.

The eyelash extensions are applied while the client is fully reclined. We use gel lash pads to cover the lower lashes.

This gives the client an eye treatment while holding down the lower lashes to ensure they don’t stick to the upper lashes while the procedure is taking place.

The client is then asked to close their eyes for the duration of the procedure. Your eyes will be closed for approximately 1.5 hours.

The lashes will shed as your own natural lashes do and so refills are recommended approximately every 3-4weeks.

Eyelash extensions and lash extension removal should only be conducted by a qualified eyelash technician.

Depending on the time frame between in fills, our technician will sometimes decide to remove the old lash extensions and provide our client with a completely new set.

Prior to your appointment

• Remove all makeup and clean your lashes preferably with an oil free makeup remover. This must be done before arrival.
• Remove contact lenses
• Do not perm or curl your lashes
• If you have fair hair, we recommend you get your eyelashes tinted at least 48 hours before your appointment

After Your Appointment

• Try not to touch your lashes for the first 4 hours
• Do not get your extensions wet for the first 24 hours
• No steam rooms or spas for the first 24 hours
• Be gentle with your new lashes and don’t pick at them
• Do not use a lash curler on your extensions as they will crimp
• Use only water based cleansers and mascara on your new extensions
• Give your extensions a gentle brush when required to keep them aligned

Before and after your appointment

• Exfoliate your body 24 hours before your appointment for a clean canvas
• Do not use any moisteriser as it will cause the tan to develop unevenly
• Allow to develop for 4-8 hours for optimum results before showering
• Don’t forget to moisturise daily with a tan extender and exfoliate twice a week for a long-lasting finish and even fade
