We manufacture a range of Fibreglass FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) rainwater tanks for domestic and agricultural purposes, using the most up-to-date and innovative technology available to meet the requirements of our customers.

Specifically designed for drinking water, these tanks are capable of hygienically storing a range of liquids. Our uniquely formulated materials give a smooth, taint free and algae resistant surface inside the tank, complying with the Australian Standard AS 4020 for potable (drinking) water. Moulded for Strength & Flexibility
Tanks West tanks are made from two moulded halves joined internally at the centre to provide additional hoop strength. The tanks are lightweight, but strong with the flexibility to withstand impact and ground movement. Relocation becomes easy once the tank is empty.

Mixing Tanks
Fertilizers and Chemicals
Tanks West manufactures a range of mechanical mixing tanks suitable for most agricultural fertilizers. The increasingly widespread use of liquid fertilizers has produced a growing demand for mixing tanks, which allow on-site preparation of fertilizers and chemicals.

Using mixing tanks, growers are able to produce individual fertilizer combinations, to best suit their particular needs.

Featuring heavy-duty industrial impeller mixers direct mounted to the roof of the tank, our chemically resistant mixing tanks are capable of blending and dissolving dry fertilizers, additives and other liquids in a water-based solution.

Industrial Products

Mine Site Tanks
Tanks West understands the requirements of the West Australian mining industry, supplying storage and process tanks to the Pilbara and Eastern Goldfields since 1992.

High temperatures, hyper-saline water and cyclonic conditions are all in a days work for these sturdy fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) storage tanks which come in a range of sizes up to 60 cubic metres. Manufactured in Canning Vale using locally produced resins, the tanks can be load and hydrostatically tested on completion and expeditors are welcome to arrange inspections prior to despatch.

Fitting sizes up to 500mm in a variety of materials (FRP, brass, stainless and polypropylene) can be factory fitted using threaded or flanged connections to suit your specific requirements and reduce the need for on site labour.

Chemical Storage Tanks

Tanks West has been manufacturing chemical tanks for a range of industries since 1992 so we understand the potential hazards associated with storing volatile liquids. This is why we work closely with you to determine your exact requirements to provide the most effective and economical solution.

Access to a range of polyester and vinylester resin systems and advanced manufacturing technology, allows us to customise your tank to store a range of liquids including sewerage, alum, hyper-saline solutions, oils, mild acids, glycol and flocculents.

Heavy duty, chemical grade fittings in sizes up to 500mm in a variety of materials (FRP, brass, stainless and polypropylene) can be installed using threaded or flanged connections to suit your specific requirements.

The selection of a specific resin and reinforcement system will depend on the nature of the chemical being stored, its concentration, pH & SG and other environmental and installation factors. Tanks West technical staff can assist with your design by providing basic schematic drawings and consultations on chemical compatibility as well as area specific hazards related to temperature and UV exposure.

When storing chemicals, there are many important factors to consider, including:

PH level
Maximum and minimum operating temperatures
Does the liquid have a dangerous goods rating?
Installation environment
Any additional environmental hazards (eg high wind, or seismic activity)

Delivery

Tanks West will deliver the larger tanks free of charge up to 700km outside Perth. Our large fleet of trucks feature purpose-built trays and low-profile trailers, enabling transport of a wide range of tanks. From Esperance and Kalgoorlie to Meekatharra, the company will transport your new tank and position it where required. Those outside the 700km zone are invited to call and check our alternative delivery options.

Delivery is prompt, as trucks are dispatched throughout the state each week, and our relatively large fleet offers the flexibility of a quick order turn-around if required. Tank fittings are installed on site as part of our delivery service, and our drivers carry an array of brass and plastic fittings, ensuring full availability of fittings at installation. With our delivery team, you can be assured of efficiency and high quality service.

Tanks West employs professional delivery drivers on staff, as opposed to hiring contract staff. As a result, our drivers are experienced and efficient in the delivery and fit-out of our tanks, providing you with a functional and secure tank.

These product ranges are delivered by Tanks West, however any variations or special requirements will be discussed at the time of quotation and order. Special arrangements for delivery are available.

Bunds must be prepared and inspected before liquid fertilizer tanks are delivered. Our drivers are trained in the fit-out of these tanks, to CSBP specifications. Buying a Tanks West tank, you can be assured of safe, long-term storage of your liquid fertilizer.

The custom-made trailers and trays we use allow us to transport a variety of tanks simultaneously, including the elongated transporter tanks.
