I started my hairdressing career in 1984 and dabbled in makeup for photo shoots, I always knew I didn’t want to stay in a salon environment but to eventually work in television.

I left Australia to travel and freelance throughout the UK & Europe for nearly 3 years before returning to Australia & settling in Sydney.

In 1991 my career changed direction into Research & Development of hair care products.

I worked closely with chemists in laboratories & managed a test salon to develop styling products, shampoos, conditioners & treatments, perm solutions & hair colours.

I also looked after an advice hotline to help customers with their hair care problems.

In 1992 I completed my certificate in beauty therapy and later my diploma in makeup artistry. Shortly after that I founded The Art Of Illusion.

My business grew quickly while I also freelanced for photo shoots & television. In 1998 I was nominated and won an award from the ABIA – Voted No 1 in NSW and several times finalist.

Later that year I was offered a great position in television and began working full-time at SBS Television. I have worked with many celebrities from the AFI Awards, music shows, bands, comedians, news and current affairs, sports legends, and movie shows.

In 2003 I completed a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment – which allows me expand my business and teach hair styling and makeup.

I am still working in television and with many happy brides & clients.  I also create beautiful looks for special occasions, school formals & teach makeup application & hairstyling.
