The eyebrow raising:
All new customers must have an ‘initial appointment’ regardless of the state of their eyebrows for $65. (Yes, Sixty Five dollars).

You must pay for the entire treatment in advance. So I guess if you’re not satisfied you can’t not pay. (Trust is grudgingly awarded to repeat customers with only 50% upfront required.)

I have quite full eyebrows, and have always been careful to maintain them fuller rather than plucked to high heaven – and so I think I cut short the Eyebrow Queen’s MO as she couldn’t really find anything to criticise. This is just my opinion, but it seems a good deal of the EQ’s ‘superiority’ lies in her commencing the treatment with some hearty criticism and tut-tutting over the state of your existing brows, before ‘rescuing’ them (“Don’t despair! The actual brow shaping was just a normal shaping as far as I’m concerned; the only difference was that she trimmed some eyebrow hairs in addition to waxing, but I do know other salons do this as well. I’d been kind of hoping for something WOW – but it was just same old same old. I certainly wasn’t in there for as long as the apppointment time was booked.

The positive:
The brow colour (I lightened mine a little) was good – it didn’t seem to be a full bleach like I’d had before, but rather the colour was peppered through, so some hairs were lighter, some still darker. It was nice.

I also had my eyelashes tinted, and it was a very smooth and eye-irritation-free process. Unfortunately they don’t have (or didn’t have in stock at the time) the blue-black for eyelash tinting, just plain black.

Overall verdict: if you’re pretty happy with your current brows – save yourself $50 and get a wax at your local.”
