Services

Massage

At The Massage Company, our therapists are fully trained and qualified in the the following massage techniques.

You can choose any particular type of massage, or be guided by your therapist to deliver the most appropriate treatment to suit your individual needs.

Remedial Massage: a system of manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to heal injuries and headaches and relieve pain.

Deep Tissue Massage: is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscles to relax, soothe and improve movement.

Sports Massage: is a specific technique to prevent injuries and assist performance for people involved in sports.

Aromatherapy Massage: is the art of applying essential oils in combination with a relaxation massage to suit individual needs.

Acupressure: is a traditional treatment from China using trigger point therapy to work on the body’s meridians to recharge energy levels and release tension.

Reflexology (Foot Massage): is a technique which stimulates the pressure points on the feet relating to other parts of the body to achieve a state of balance and equilibrium.

Compression Wave Therapy.

What is it:

Compression Wave Therapy is a calibrated and sequential pressure massage system that promotes the physiological drainage of interstitial fluid and assists blood circulation.

How does it work:

The device progressively inflates a series of air chambers that wrap around limbs and the abdomen. A peristaltic wave motion is created that moves from the sole of the foot to the thighs, or from the fingers to the shoulders moving fluids as it progresses up the limbs.

The sequences are organized in cycles and the pressure applied to each segment can be varied.

The resulting lymph drainage promotes blood circulation facilitating the removal of catabolites and waste from the extracellular environment and assisting the supply of new nutrients.

What’s it for:

  • relieves aching and heavy legs
  • reduces swelling and fluid retention
  • reduces inflammation
  • improves circulation

Compression Wave Therapy has many other benefits. Just ask your therapist for further information.

Equipment

The equipment consists of leg, arm and torso sections that are wrapped around the relevant limbs or body section.

Treatment can be delivered to any individual body segment or to the whole body at one time.

At The Massage Company, we have extensively researched  various systems from manufacturers around the world and have determined that a 48 chamber system delivers the smoothest and most effective treatment of all available systems.

Fewer air chambers are appropriate for home use where simpler and less costly systems are required, however in a professional setting, only the best will do.

We are the exclusive agents for these systems and can supply these professional quality systems and simpler less expensive systems for home use.

Circulatory System:

The circulatory system is a system of vessels that contains and moves some body fluids:

  • The BLOOD in BLOOD CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
  • The LYMPH in LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

Blood Circulatory System:

The blood circulation system is composed of the heart (which provides the driving force necessary to circulate the blood thoughout the body), and of the the blood vessels (arteries, veins and capillaries) that allow the transport of blood in the body.

The ARTERIES carry the oxygened blood from the heart to the various body vessels and organs .

The VEINS return the blood, now loaded with carbon dioxide, from the vessels and organs back to the heart.

Lymphatic System:

The lymphatic system drains fluid contained in the interstitial tissue.

The arterial-venous exchanges that are required to oxygenate and nourish the tissues, always involve a residue of liquids, proteins and metabolic products in the extracellular space.

These elements form the lymph.

The lymphatic vessels collect the lymph, carrying it from the periphery of the body to the thoracic duct, which is the main collector of the entire lymphatic system.

Like veins, the lymphatic vessels have special valves that ensure the fluids flow in only one direction. Muscle contractions generate the movement of lymph.

Massage Treatments

The Massage Company provides a range of massage treatments for Corporate Clients ranging from roving therapists providing casual seated massage at events or trade shows, thru seated ‘at desk’ massage, seated massage using our specialized ergonomic chairs, full table massage and alternative treatments including aromatherapy.

Desk Massage

With a Desk Massage service, we don’t need to set up any massage equipment, so you don’t have to provide any extra space whatsoever.

Our skilled massage therapists will quietly move from person to person, so as not to disrupt the working environment.

They will then treat each staff member with a pleasurable massage at their desk and in their own office chair.

The therapist will provide a 15 minute treatment covering the recipient’s neck, back, arms and head.

Seated Massage

The recipient relaxes in our specially designed massage chair whilst the therapist works their neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands and head.

The 15 minute sequence is the most popular, allowing the optimum amount of time for the recipient to relax and enjoy the benefits of massage.

The technique is finished off with an invigorating tapotement technique which re-energises the recipient so that they are ready to head back to work relaxed, rejuvenated and focused.

A small designated area would need to be provided to allow our therapist to set up the massage chair and to provide some space to operate. A few square metres is all that is required.

Massage Gift Certificate.

Giving a The Massage Company Gift Certificate to a friend or loved one provides them with the opportunity to receive the best massage in the industry. It’s a great way to say: “I care about you and you deserve the best.”

When you choose a gift certificate, rest assured that your gift will be well received.

Once you give a gift certificate, our clinic’s talented massage therapists will take care of the rest.

We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, Christmas, or just to show how much you care, than by giving the gift of wellness.

The details are simple:

  • Buy a gift card from reception
  • Present it to the lucky recipient
  • Call us to make the booking.

Please note the following Terms and Conditions:

  • Appointments are required and are subject to availability.
  • Gift Cards are not refundable and expire within 3 months of issue.

“Great massage, very experienced and knowledgeable masseuse”

“This is definitely my go to place if I have any aches and pains. They have a range of prices to match everyone’s budget and if you have private health cover just let them know in advance and they will organize for you to be treated by one of the many staff who can allow you to claim. Cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“Gotta love the professional work and relaxation

Enjoyed the whole experience”
