This blog is devoted to everyday consumers who want to look and feel their absolute best. Our path to realising this was unconventional, but the result was life changing.

The Plastic Diaries was born when editor Kimberly Nissen planned her own journey with plastic surgery.

Having found no insightful information about the procedure online, Kimberly decided to create a site to record her own experiences and thus make it available for women who do the same research in the future.

The Plastic Diaries quickly evolved to focus on all topics of beauty and wellbeing and now we share our daily experiences with beauty, and the interesting things we learn on the way.

There are tips to get you looking your best, reviews of products you have heard about (and lots you haven’t!), pretty photos and swatches of colour cosmetics, and answers to all your beauty questions (including the questions you never knew you had).

We don’t use big fancy words. We don’t pretend to be scientists or doctors. What we give you is useful, down-to-earth communication and informed opinions based on real-life experiences.

We go beyond the conventional beauty realm to address topics like finding your own style, where to travel for a much-needed break, and which spa you should visit for the ultimate pamper session.
