I just wanted to say an absolutely massive thank you for doing hair and makeup on my wedding day recently (6/8/16). Organising a wedding in Maleny is already difficult from interstate (Melbourne), but in my case hair and makeup seemed like an even bigger challenge with my hair still growing back after losing it last year during treatment for breast cancer.
I could not have been happier with the service The Powder Room provided, particularly Karen. As I was unable to have a hair or makeup trial before the day, Karen provided me with several consultations over the phone, giving me advice about cutting my hair and looking for a suitable headpiece. “Hi Karen,

You did my hair for professional head shots today and I just wanted to say what a great experience it was. After having been sick for a week and arriving with dirty hair, slapped into a pony tail and NO makeup (it was VERY hard to leave the house like that)… you and Alex worked your magic and had me looking 100% and camera ready in no time!
I’ve only had makeup applied professionally 3 times in my life… and randomly, your girl Alex did both no. 2 & 3. She taught me some fabulous tricks about 4 years ago, that I use daily. She definitely knows her stuff! And today’s application was done in such a gentle, calm and serene manner. Just lovely, and just what I needed. Thank you both!
