About Us

Tim Allen, B.BUS(Acc.); C.A.; JP (Com of Dec.) – Director

Tim graduated from the Queensland Institute of Technology (now QUT) with a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accountancy and Honours in Taxation Law and Practice in 1978.

Following this, he undertook the Post Graduate Professional year program conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and was admitted to membership in 1983 and granted a Practicing Certificate
in 1987.

Prior to commencing practice in 1987, he held a position as Taxation Manager in a large international firm of Chartered Accountants.

With over 20 years of public practice experience, Tim is well versed to assist you in a broad range of Taxation and Business advisory matters.

Tim is a Member of the National Tax and Accountants Association Ltd, a registered Tax Agent and a Justice of the Peace (Com. of Dec.) in the State of Queensland.

He is also a past President and Current Director of the Rotary Club of Stafford and a Recipient of a Paul Harris Fellowship.

Other personal interests include rugby, wine, travel and bush walking.

Senior Professional Staff:

Aaron Wood B.B.S., Dip. Prof. Account.

Aaron has 18 years experience working in the Chartered Accountancy industry. He has been working with Tim for two years now.

Aaron has also provided Chartered Accountancy services in a number of countries over the years.

In Scotland, he worked for the Edinburgh branch of Scotland’s largest privately owned Chartered Accounting firm and specialised in providing onsite consultancy services along with more traditional accounting services. Having worked with small to medium clients, he also provided services to some of the largest recognised brands and quasi non-governmental organisations.

Aaron also provided accountancy services to the largest A.C.C.A. firm in the United Kingdom which was based in Central London. He was responsible for managing a department specialised in V.A.T. and business services. The department predominately provided services to the media, film and construction industries. Aaron specialised in providing services to the high net worth individuals and media personality clients of the firm.

Prior to working in the United Kingdom, Aaron worked in New Zealand for firms providing business services, audit services, trustee services and onsite consultancy services to a very diverse range of industries. A number of these firms are intenationally affiliated or internationally recognisable. Aaron also ran his own accounting business during this time.

Aaron’s interests include Jaguar classic car restoration, snorkelling and diving, travel, martial arts, gardening, history, his two Rottweilers, and enjoying the wonderful country that Australia is.

Kathryn Drake B.BUS(Acc.)

Kathryn obtained her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Queensland Institute of Technology (QUT), and she has over 15 years experience in the industry in Business Services and Tax.
Luisa Murphy

Luisa has over 30 years experience in Public Practice, over 20 of these with
this firm.

She is the firm’s Office and IT Manager as well having responsibility for a portfolio of the firm’s larger clients.

She has been responsible for inducting and training numerous Commerce graduates into the Public Practice environment.

Rachel Huynh

Rachel came to Brisbane from Vietnam in 2008 on a full time scholarship by Education Queensland International. She attended years 11 and 12 at Kedron State High School, where she achieved an OP1.

She is current in 3rd year of Bachelor of Business (Dean’s Honour Programme) majoring in Accountancy at Queensland University of Technology.

In 2011, Rachel won the CPA Award International Award for International Student with the highest GPA in her first year.

Rachel is a QUT International Student Ambassador.
