MEET THE TEAM

MARIE POGGI / SALON OWNER & ART DIRECTOR

I first started as a hairdresser with TONI&GUY in 2004 in my home town in France. The hair salon was known for its education standards. It was there that I had the opportunity to travel to Paris and the UK as a hairdresser to learn the latest hairdressing techniques and collections and that is how I fell in love with TONI&GUY.

In 2009 I went to London to work for TONI&GUY, without speaking any English. For 6 weeks I worked as a hair assistant in order to learn English, I then worked as a hair stylist in a South Kensington salon and each Saturday I had the privilege of working with Toni Mascolo himself.

After a stint in London I decided I wanted to spread my wings and move to Surry Hills in Sydney, Australia where I found my new home in Surry Hills and where I ultimately wanted to live and work as a hairdresser. It was extremely difficult to relocate and find the right job as a hairdresser, but I had a dream as a hairdresser and I was motivated and determined to make it happen. I was extremely blessed to begin working for TONI&GUY Leichhardt with my mentor and business partner Kathy, without her I would not be where I am today.

My dream of opening up my own salon in the heart of Surry Hills is finally a reality. I wanted to create a space in the Surry Hills area which was fresh, punchy and had a positive vibe where clients would love to be TONI&GUY Surry Hills is an urban hair salon space which aims to appeal to all types of clientele. We look forward to having you in the salon soon!

Originally from TONI&GUY Manchester, Catrin has worked internationally across the UK, Malaysia, Ibiza and now Australia!

I am originally from the country in a small town called Dubbo. I have move to Sydney in Surry Hills to pursue my dream as a hairdresser with TONI&GUY. In the past 2 months of working , I have experienced on going training and learning from Surry Hills TONI&GUY. I am looking forward to my future as a hairdresser in Surry Hills.
