This allows the whole spine to be treated to bring about the body’s neutral position, which such posturalimprovements the spine becomes more flexible and can strengthen, decreasing the incidence of reoccurrence. The tissues and joints are moved with such gentalness that this technique does not pose any problems for people with such conditions as Osteoperosis etc.. There are special techniques to treat varying types of conditions..

– Shiatsu –

Shiatsu is a traditional hands on Japanese healing art used to treat a wide range of conditions, such as stress and specific injury. Shiatsu uses pressure point massage based on the principles of Meridians and Qi, as used in acupunture but without the use of needles. As an elite Queensland Academy of Sport flatwater kayaker, I was introduced to Brendan and Total Massage in 2002. Massage became an important aspect of recovery from the hard training of elite flatwater kayaking. Weekly regular massages kept my body in top shape, ready for whatever my coach could throw at me and was a vital in my preparation for racing. Post wrist surgery in 2005, Brendan and massage assisted my recovery and allowed me to return to International competition within 12 months. I continued my career as a Queensland Academy of Sport, Australian Institute of Sport and Australian Kayak Team member until retirement in September 2009 with the support of Brendan and Total Massage.”
