SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!

In 2006, I decided to leave my old life and give it more meaning.
In 2008, I came to Australia and started training in natural therapies. I wanted to change myself and am looking to accompany others in their change.

I am a qualified remedial massage therapist, counsellor, colon hydrotherapist and beauty therapist, and am currently training in aquatic bodywork. I have been working as a remedial massage therapist since 2009 and have been a certified remedial member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia (formerly AAMT) and a registered provider with most major health funds. I am also a provider for WorkSafe Victoria.

I have a passion for my work and have very good palpatory skills.
You are in good hands if you are looking to unwind after work, if you have a lot of kids that you have to carry around, or if you have a more specific issue, such as lower back pain, shoulder tension, headaches or anything else that is playing up.
I have worked with a number of athletes in the fields of professional football, cycling, triathlon, jiu jitsu, boxing, basketball and professional pole dancing and am here to support you in your training.

I have a Working With Children Check from both Victoria and NSW and am qualified to work with underage clients.

Services

Massage

… is defined as the systematic manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for a curative effect. Soft tissues are made more pliable through massage to promote circulation and blood flow and bring about healing effects: physical and psychological changes for general wellbeing.

Massage therapy is extremely beneficial to people leading busy lifestyles suffering from what is now commonly encountered work related stress. Massage will not only aid with mental relaxation but will work on physical symptoms of back and neck pain that comes from sitting for an extended period of time at a desk, from physical labour or from being otherwise engaged in a very busy schedule.

Many people wait until they are already in pain or suffering spinal injuries before turning to massage, but why let it get that bad? It is a good idea to take regular massage as a preventative measure so that such injuries do not occur. Regular massage maintenance will increase your overall sense of wellbeing for optimum physical and mental health, helping you to achieve your goals.
The power of healing in massage is the energy that flows through the therapist’s hands in touch to refresh, regenerate and revitalise.

Massage can be helpful in many areas:
insomnia
general persistent fatigue
muscular tension and pain
headaches and migraines
work related stress
repetitive strain injury (RSI)
depression
arthritis
digestive dysfunction
pre-natal pregnancy condition
frozen shoulder
whiplash
sports and dancing injuries

Swedish Massage

… is a system of long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration and shaking motions that apply pressure between muscles and bones, rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish Massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating.

Remedial Massage

… works to help heal muscles and tendons that are damaged, impaired or knotted. It holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort back to the original cause. It uses special techniques to support and speed up the body’s own repair mechanisms. It may use techniques such as passive and active release, trigger point work, stretches and the application of heat packs.

Sports Massage

… is designed to prevent and relieve injuries and conditions that are associated with exercise. It can often be quite strenuous and is meant to relieve and reduce the stress and tension that can build up within the body’s soft tissues while exercising. It can be carried out before, during, or after playing sport or exercising and uses techniques that are designed to increase endurance and performance, to minimize the chances of injury and, if there is an injury, to reduce the recovery time.

Benefits of Sports Massage are:

draining away fatigue
relieving swelling
reducing muscle tension
promoting flexibility
injuries that occur as a result of overexertion or overuse
relieving pain
preventing injuries
improving heart rate and blood pressure
increasing blood circulation and lymph flow

Pregnancy Massage

… is a combination of Swedish and Remedial Massage techniques to assist with the tensions and pains experienced during pregnancy. These are often caused by the extra weight and shift in the centre of gravity. There are many physical benefits to Pregnancy Massage, in addition to the nurturing and emotional support provided by the practitioner. Massage reduces peripheral swelling, soothes the nervous system, helps to prevent insomnia, muscle cramps and back pain. Regular massage throughout the pregnancy is said to shorten labour time and the return to optimal fitness after birth.
