18th September 2005
The first Vigorous Traditional Thai store opens at 311 Victoria Street West Melbourne.

August 2006
Vigorous Traditional Thai is honoured by the Department of Export and by the Royal Thai Consulate General at a trade exhibition at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

April 2009
Vigorous Traditional Thai is approached by the Australian-Thailand Institute where journalists were invited to find out about successful business set-ups in Australia with Thai connections. Articles about Vigorous Traditional Thai were published through various media outlets including the Bangkok Post, Matichon New, Post Today and Thansettakij media.

1st October 2009
The second Vigorous Traditional Thai store opens at 391 Bourke Street in Melbourne.

June 2010
We donated 40,000 Baht (AUD$2,000) to a Thai charity called Baan Gerda which provides homes for orphans suffering HIV in a family-style setting.

23rd July 2010
The third Vigorous Traditional Thai store opens at 159 Bourke Street in Melbourne.

February 2011 (Vigorous Thai 2011 Fundraiser)
We organised a fundraiser to raise money for The Royal Children’s Hospital. A total of $3,434.00 was raised!

11th November 2011
The fourth Vigorous Traditional Thai store opens at 227 Smith Street Fitzroy.

December 2011
We donated $4,868.55 to help toward flood victims in Thailand.

October 2012
We organised a fundraiser to raise money for The Lost Dogs’ Home. A total of $3,526.00 was raised!

December 2013
We donated $3,648 to a community fundraiser to build a Buddhist temple in Geelong.

1st December 2016
The fifth and the sixth Vigorous Traditional Thai stores open at 147 Brunswick Street Fitzroy and 385 Bridge Road Richmond.

Thai Yoga (Non-oil)

Looking to enhance your Yoga experience or someone who is feeling tight and stiff – try the Thai Yoga massage, tailored to your flexibility.

Using authentic Thai techniques combined with a special form of yoga merging rhythmic massage to assist acupressure along the body. The massage involves stretching the back, neck, shoulders and legs while applying firm pressure to muscles allowing improved blood flow.

Deep Tissue with Oil

Do you have prolonged or lingering tension in your body that you want to get rid of – then try our Deep Tissue massage.

This firm, oil-based massage uses thumbs, palms and elbows combined with high-pressure techniques and slow concentrated strokes. Deep knots, tense or unaligned layers of muscles and connective tissue are targeted, relaxing muscles and improving circulation.

Relaxation

For the mind as much as the body, this massage is for person looking for a full relaxation experience.

This gentle, oil-based massage, involving slow hand-movements at a soft-to-medium level of pressure, releases stress from the body and the mind.

Combination (Thai+Oil)

Extremely popular with customers, a combination of stretching and massage gives you the best of both worlds.

Starting with a Thai Yoga massage followed by a choice of oil massage, this service includes gentle stretching and massage in combination to relieve stress and tiredness.

*Due to time limitation, for massage session of 60-minute or less, oil is applied only to the back.

Vigorous Focus

If you prefer to create your own session to focus on particular areas you need, try our Vigorous Focus. Before the massage you will be asked to notify us of the focus areas.

This firm, oil-based massage uses thumbs, palms and elbows combined with high-pressure techniques and slow concentrated strokes focusing on the nominated areas. Perfect for targeting those tight, sore areas, loosing connective tissue and releasing muscle tension.

“Went to one between elizabeth and queen, on bourke last night, 2/9, 8pm. myself and a friend had a foot massage, the two stafftalked and laughed the whole way through the massage, i asked for stronger but they didnt care, continued same poor effort, it was more of a foot rub than a massage. Really poor performance, maybe the massages out the back are better as they dont get to talk during the massage!”
