“I have been coming to Xcentrik for 7 years. I recently moved to The Hills and I will travel an hour each way just to get my blow-dry. The price and the amazing way my hair is done I cannot get this anywhere else. I recently had my colour refreshed and being naturally dark the girls always bring my hair to the best shade of blonde. Beauty pageants, movie premiers all my big events my hair has been styled by Xcentrik. I won’t go anywhere else and I don’t know what I would do without them. “Great hairdressers, young, enthusiastic, funky and very accomodating. Great magazines and usually a coffee (sometimes a sparkling wine) while you wait (which is rarely very long). Reasonably priced as well !!”

“Feeling really ripped off and disappointed. I just walked in for a trim on my shoulder length hair. I tupidly didnt ask for prices and there is no prices anywhere posted around the store or any price lists. Got a tiny trim that took less than 10 minutes. i was asked if i wanted it washed and blow dried which I refused as I didnt have the time. The trim wasnt a style cut or require anything fancy just the basic of trims a couple of cms maybe. Was shocked to be charged $41. Felt ridiculously stupid and ripped off. Walked out of the store shaking my head almost in tears berating myself for not questioning why something so simple was so expensive!!!!! I presumed I would be paying around the $25 mark which is still expensive. I dont earn a lot of money as I mostly work in a not for profit capacity so I wish I had asked or at least been advised before hand so I had the opportunity to refuse this ridiculous pricing. Can only shudder at the thought of what colours etc must cost here.”

“I came in on time and they didn’t start on my hair until 20 minutes later. Given I was in a rush (for a wedding) – they didn’t really ask me what I would like done to my hair and when I interrupted to explain what I wanted I was met with an uncooperative stare and decided best not to complicate things for fear of running later. I tried to make conversation but was made to feel an inconvenience because I was in a rush. They told me it was $50 on the phone and it ended up being $65. When I came to take my hair out on the way back from the wedding, I found that they had used a RUBBER BAND??? to tie up my hair. At the end of the day my hair was done and looked fine but what a terrible experience and very unprofessional.”

“if i could give this salon zero stars i would – appalling service from a woman who was too lazy to brush the knots out of my daughter’s hair before giving her a trim – i was asked to do it myself! fortunately i went around the corner to Ziggy’s where I received impeccable service with a smile – and we were out in 20 mins. Extremely poor service – never again. Do not reccommend!”

“I bought a cudo voucher for this hairdresser. Never again! It was advertised as an indulgence with bubbly on arrival and professional service. Talk about polar opposite. No bubbly, Just bad tempered unprofessional staff, filthy premises with hair covering the floor, seats and tool areas.I was booked in for 12.30pm (despite being asked what time I would like and requesting a morning appointment). I was told to go away and come back in 20 minutes. I gave them 30mins. The colourist stomped off in a huff because I dared to ask a couple of questions about the properties of the hair colours. My dye wasnt rinsed out of my hair properly after being left in too long. My hair was dry before I had my trim and rather than rewet, the cutter spritzed it with a spray bottle, cut off too much hair (since when is 6 inches a trim). Some of my hairs were still long when I got home and I had to trim them myself. I was in there till 4.30pm OMG! What a nightmare! The seats were stained. I was charged an extra $65 for a colour I don’t remember agreeing to. I walked out with dry unevenly & overcut hair. Hairdressers from hell! I so miss my local hairdresser. What can I say? DONT DO IT TO YOURSELF.!!!”
