ABOUT US – THE COMPANY

Discover Massage Australia is a long-established, nationwide organisation which has developed an enviable reputation for training massage practitioners to the peak of their abilities. First established in 1995 known as ARMS, Discover Massage Australia is a privately-owned massage college that has diligently trained thousands of industry-leading, professional graduates.

Running only two courses per year in Victoria when we commenced training in 1995, we have steadily grown to meet the Australia-wide demand for complimentary therapies. Discover Massage Australia is now the largest practical hands-on learning massage college in the country, running in excess of sixty courses per year. Our training coverage is also truly nationwide, with courses operating in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and on the Gold Coast.

We provide the highest standards of hands-on practical learning throughout Australia and are committed to developing trainees into quality massage therapists who are capable of providing their clients with a complete relaxation or remedial massage experience. For those therapists already at work in the industry who are looking to broaden their skill-set, Discover Massage Australia is also able to expand their massage reportoire with advanced training in our specialised in-house thorough massage training system and techniques known as CTR Contractual Tendon Release TM and CLR Contractual Ligament Release TM.

Discover Massage Australia currently operates five distinct massage training courses, as well as a unique “How to build a successful massage practice” program.

Quality

Differentiation

Our massage training techniques remain unique in that we incorporate processes of releasing the tendons, ligaments and fascia, as well as the muscle groups. In particular, we promote Contractual Tendon Release (CTR) and Contractual Ligament Release (CLR) forms of massage as unique and exclusive to our company ‘brand’ and curriculum.

Process

We believe in the thorough and holistic treatment of individuals through therapy in order to achieve the maximum benefit from all massage sessions. Thoroughness is taught and promoted in every massage course. Cameron Aubrey
Director

Cameron started studying massage in London England in 1999 at The Clare Maxwell Hudson School of Massage which is the premier London massage school that specialises in Swedish massage, Sports Massage and Deep Tissue massage.

After 4 years of studying various techniques, running his own massage clinic and working closely with a chiropractor and Osteopath, Cameron returned to Australia and completed the Diploma Remedial Massage.

Cameron also ran a successful remedial massage clinic specialising in back pain before acquiring Discover Massage Australia.

He has been involved in sport all his life and now stays active through running on a regular basis. He also enjoys going to the football during the winter months and in summer to the cricket.

Joe Amato

Joe has been practicing massage for the past 25 years and has a strong passion for anatomy and the study of injuries to the human body.

Joe has been working for DMA since 2010 and has a teaching style like no other. He is very thorough and precise when teaching our techniques. His smile and personality is infectious and his passion for the massage industry is evident in this teaching style

When not teaching with us, Joe enjoys weightlifting, boxing and keeping fit through diet and exercise.

Kyle Southcombe

Kyle has been involved in the health and fitness industry for the past 10 years and has been running his own very successful Massage Practice for 4 years now. Kyle is passionate about massage and helping others overcome their injuries. He has been an instructor for DMA since early 2010 and enjoys sharing his knowledge with all of our students.

Kyle has a wealth of knowledge within the Massage Industry and after completing the career pathway with DMA he is getting amazing results with our treatments. His practice is made up of repeat business and referrals from other health professionals and clientele.

In Kyle’s “me time” he likes going to the gym and running. He also loves traveling overseas to Asia and Europe.

Andrew Macfarlane

Andrew has been a chiropractor for 25 years and has always used soft tissue techniques in practice . He has been a clinical nutritionist for 20 years and has advanced training in numerous techniques , this is because he has a passion for understanding health and all it’s facets .

A Holistic approach to healing has been ingrained into his philosophy through his own and patients experiences , simply what the most efficient, effective pathway to health excellence .

Kerilyn Osborn

Kerilyn completed our Advanced Deep Tissue and Common Injuries Level Two qualifications in 2009 and has been an instructor with Discover Massage Australia since 2010.

As well as instructing with Discover Massage Australia Kerilyn currently works as a Remedial Massage Therapist alongside an experienced Chiropractor. Here she provides muscular and soft tissue manipulation prior to skeletal adjustments.

Kerilyn also massages professional sporting teams including the Sydney Kings Basketball team and currently the Penrith Panthers National Rugby League team.

When she isn’t working Kerilyn can be found on the sidelines watching her two kids play tennis or swimming. During summer, visiting Bondi beach is a regular occurrence on weekends as well as staying active at the gym or walking the family Westie.
