“Sheer Luxury, Professional, Dynamic hair cut and colour for my trip to London

This is my second visit to this amazing classy, upmarket Salon in Hobart. Each time I have been warmly welcomed by the amazing new French owner called Vanessa. The salon is immaculate, professional and has a lovely ambience, unlike most salons in Hobart.
I had another amazing cut and colour and deep treatment by a young man called Remy who has been trained by this amazing company. The service, excellent, hair cut sensational and the colour quite dynamic. A truly top salon finally in Hobart. The advice I got on colour was great. I wanted more red but Remy mixed some red and said it would not last as long as since I was going away for several weeks and to have a colour closer to my own colouring with red in it. He was totally right. Sometimes we can go into hairdressers with ideas and pictures but they are not always right for us. The advice I received was professional and accurate. I am not a hair dresser so advice in this area was expertly given. Thank you Vanessa for opening a top rated salon in Hobart which I greatly appreciate and your team of staff are amazing, hard working and kind and professional. I will be back after my 7 weeks in London for another treatment. The tea and champagne was an added luxury as were the sweets. “I chose Franck Provost based on reputation and the good reviews. I have been to the new Hobart store 3 times. So far not overly impressed. I was with my hairdresser in Queensland for many years and always received what suited me and what I asked for and they charged in same price range. My first haircut and colour – not what I asked for either in cut or colour I lived with because it was a new store and I was asking for something that came naturally to my previous hairdresser so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and 2 months later booked another appointment giving them another go. The same thing happened. Not the hairstyle I asked for and they put a permanent colour over the top of the existing one drying my hair out. Not to be put off thinking that there was a communication issue for my next appointment I asked my hairdresser from Queensland to draw out the design for my hair to take for my next visit. She graciously did this and when I presented exactly what i wanted to the hairdresser – they laughed hysterically at me and then proceeded to speak in French the entire period of my visit (very rude). The hairdresser did not match the design I wanted and the hair on one side was 1 inch longer in random places than the other side. My hair has been destroyed due to doing 3 permanent colours on top of each other instead of just at the roots and a gloss on the remainder of my hair. Its so brittle it is breaking.

The moral of this story is that despite having very definite ideas of what I want – they didn’t listen on any occasion even when presented with a hand drawn design. Obviously communication skills is not part of their training and the customer should get what they ask for. You also don’t treat the customer like a fool.”

“Feedback for the Tuggerah salon… I had a T section, cut and finish with Caitlyn today and have never been happier with the experience and most importantly the result. On first impression the salon is ultra modern, clean and sumptuous. I wasn’t even planning on having my hair done today, I really only popped in to the new salon to enquire. The first impression was so good that I had to use my spare time to pamper myself and this seemed like the place to do just that. I was lucky to get an appointment a few hours later with Caitlyn. The consultation was superb she really listened to my concerns and not only that she educated me on how to best care for my type of hair. The process followed was the best I have encountered and I am uber fussy with my hair, from technique, cleanliness and friendliness I couldn’t think of one area for improvement. The products used are of top quality and I left the salon feeling pampered preened and glad to have discovered such a salon on the coast. This is certainly what you would expect of a European salon. “I had a consultation the day before, thinking that the manager knew what she was talking about, and went in the next day and she did the complete opposite to what we discussed!
I now really annoyed and have to live with the consequences..
As she didnt do what I asked..as in a smoothing relaxing defrizz treatment, which just wears off slowly so it blends with your new growth …
I even said the words “I don’t want it to be straight!! Or a chemical straighten treatment “.so your hair is left dry dull brittle and dead!”

“Fantastic service and very friendly staff. I went twice to the new Hobart salon for what were utterly relaxing appointments. I got exactly what I asked for (after chatting to the hair stylist), and for the second haircut, got immediate compliments from colleagues as soon as I came back to work. I am super picky about scalp massages in particular, and they did a brilliant job. Being served refreshments (choice of coffee, tea, water, juice, wine, etc) while you wait is also an extra touch of ‘je ne sais quoi’, as the French say. Will definitely go back.”

“Great customer care and service from the team at Franck Provost. I recently visited the Miranda salon (highly recommend Laura) and had amazing results with my balayage.
Admittedly, the colour was not what I expected on my first visit (not the technician’s fault, more so my natural hair colour was to blame) but the team was more than happy to get me back in – and fast at that! – to help rectify the problem, and at no cost.
