After training in London in the 1950s, Jon moved to Australia in 1961 and quickly started attracting clients from all over Queensland.

The first Jon Le Court salon opened in Brisbane in the early 1970s and soon after the business grew to major shopping centres throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

Later the group expanded to 45 salons in locations including Townsville, Rockhampton, northern NSW, and the Sydney suburbs of Chatswood, Hurtsville, Miranda Fair and Parramatta.
