Services

Relaxation Massage

A relaxation massage can be a great way to take time out for yourself. A 60 or 90 minute massage, can help lower your heart rate and help reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety. A relaxation massage predominantly uses the Swedish style massage techniques, and can be light or firm, depending on your preference.

Need a reason for a relaxation massage? Here’s a few…

Reduce stress
Reduce symptoms of anxiety
Improve circulation
Relieve headaches
Manage chronic pain due to arthritis

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is great for improving mobility, and even eliminating pain caused by musculoskeletal dysfunction. A remedial massage uses various techniques such as trigger point therapy, vacuum cupping, muscle energy technique and mobilisation, to identify the source of the problem, reduce muscular tension and restore joint movement to the normal range of motion. Some clients experience ‘good pain’ during a remedial massage, as the deep tissue techniques aim to get to the source of the problem and, depending on the type of issue, will significantly improve or even resolve the issue within a few treatments.

It’s always a good idea to communicate with your therapist about your level of pain and comfort with specific techniques during your treatment. Everyone is different, and your massage doesn’t need to be excruciatingly painful to be effective.

When should you get a remedial massage? If you’re experiencing…

Tennis or golfer’s elbow
Carpal tunnel syndrome
Deep tissue treatment
Knee pain
Lower back pain
Sciatica
Chronic headaches or migraines
Frozen shoulder
Plantar fasciitis
Joint pain
Neck pain
Inability to turn your head
…and much more.

Sports Massage

Perfect for preparing for an event, after an event or as part of your training and maintenance regime, sports massage incorporates remedial massage techniques, sports massage techniques and specific stretches. It can aid in enhancing your performance, or help you to recover quickly post event.

When should you get a sports massage? If you’re…

Training for a game or event
Wanting to prevent injury
Recovering post game or event
Interested in maintaining muscle flexibility
Wanting to help manage muscle performance
…and much more.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is a safe practice at any stage during pregnancy and post. We treat all our pregnant clients in a sidelying position, protecting both mum and baby with ample cushioning for comfort and safety. Lower back ache, sleeplessness and cramping often experienced in the 2nd and 3rd trimester can be greatly alleviated with regular massage and self treatment. It is recommended that those in their 3rd trimester book an appointment for 90mins rather than just 60min to get the full relaxation and remedial benefits of their massage.
