History

1986
National Workwear began its journey in 1986 as Hopkins Active Agency, a company specialising in the manufacturing and supply of apparel to the tourist and fitness industries.

1992
Hopkins Active Agency expands into the corporate field, and over the proceeding ten years, major corporate clients such as Coca Cola, Thrifty Link and the Swimart franchise group, were secured as the company grew.

2003
National Workwear was formed. The name change to National Workwear was made to better reflect the company’s profile. A new showroom was built in Dover Drive Burleigh Heads Qld and more corporate clients such as the Poolwerx and Thinkwater franchise groups were secured as major clients.

2008
National Workwear opens a modern new Retail Superstore at 5 Casua Drive Varsity Lakes , which is more than triple the size of the original store in Dover Drive Burleigh. The store is the largest of it’s type on the Gold Coast featuring a huge range of uniforms, as well as an extensive range of Workplace Health and Safety products.

2008
National Embroidery was formed. As a direct result of our commitment to providing a complete service to our clients, we purchase several state of the art embroidery machines to ensure continuity in regards to the quality and promptness of delivery.

2011
National Workwear e-commerce website launched to offer our customers greater convenience.

Present Day
Today National Workwear is a specialist uniform supplier and embroiderer for over 2000 companies throughout Australia, as well as a Workplace Health & Safety supplier to many of Australia’s largest companies.

National Workwear’s success has been no accident. It is due to our ability to be able to supply a diverse range of ready to wear imported apparel, as well as custom made uniform solutions under the “National Workwear” brand that we have become a trusted partner in many of our client’s growth.

The Gold Coast Superstore is conveniently located in the Varsity Lakes / Burleigh Heads area on the southern end of the Gold Coast, just 400 mtrs off the M1 Motorway.

With a massive 450 square metre showroom, filled with the ranges of over 200 of Australia’s largest National Brands, the store is a one stop destination.

The National Workwear store carries major brands such as, King Gee, Bisley, City Collection, Bolle, Oliver Footwear, Steel Blue, Johnny Bobbin, Biz collection and many more.

The expansion of the Workplace Health and Safety products, including First Aid, Sunscreen, Fire Extinguishers and Brady Signs, has proved very beneficial for our customers.

In 2008 National Embroidery was established, as a companion company for National Workwear.

It became apparent that as National Workwear grew, we needed to take control of other areas of our business usually delegated to subcontractors, to ensure continuity of supply. It is a direct result of our commitment to providing a complete service, that we invested in several state of the art embroidery machines to ensure continuity in regards to both the quality, and promptness of delivery.

Take exit 85 off the M1 Motorway to Reedy Creek Road and turn left at the 2nd set off traffic lights, and then immediate right into Casua Drive, which runs parallel to Reedy Creek road.

Policy and Terms

Online Payment facility.
Payments to National Workwear [ABN 80 126 652 524] can be paid using Visa, Mastercard, Direct Deposit, Cheque/Money Order or through PayPal, and all transactions are in Australian Dollars [AUD]. Transactions are processed in real-time and in a secure Comodo CA Limited SSL/TLS environment. A receipt will be emailed once the payment has been processed. Please allow up to 2 business days for Direct Deposits to process and up to 7 business days for Cheque/Money orders.

Please quote your order number or send a copy of your order notification. Your order number can be found at the top of your invoice.

Delivery Policy.
All products will be delivered via Fastway Couriers or Australia Post. Remote locations, PO Box addresses and locations outside of the usual Fastway Courier network area, will be delivered by Australia Post. Fastway Couriers do not deliver to PO Boxes. Full payment is required prior to delivery of all online orders. Orders over 20kg will currently need to be processed by phone only unless order is over $200.

Warranty
As we are an authorized retailer, and all goods are covered by manufacturer warranty. Please refer to the individual products websites for further information on warranties.

Change of Mind / Returns Policy
Only authorised returns will be accepted. All returns require a Return Authorisation Number, and this can be obtained through our Online Sales Office sales@nationalworkwear.com.au.

We accept goods back if you change your mind on the basis that the goods have been un-opened and unused and are in a re-saleable condition and returned to us within 7 working days of receipt of parcel. By this we mean that all packaging and or cellophane wrapping and tamper resistant seals must be intact. Sometimes manufacturers will apply a security seal to the outside of a box, if this seal is broken the item cannot be re-sold and we will not be accepted by our Returns Dept.  All change of mind returned goods will be refunded minus delivery & 10% handling and re-stocking fee.

Faulty/Damaged Goods return
If you have received a faulty or damaged item please contact our customer service for assistance. Some items cannot be refunded due to health and safety regulations, to see if your product falls under this category please contact us. All returned items must be packaged appropriately, include a brief explanatory note with your name, order Number and the reason for the return and sent to:

We strongly advise that all returns are sent via a method of recorded delivery in order to ensure safe receipt. We cannot be held responsible for any undelivered items.

Your return will be processed within 14 days of receipt, where our department will contact you directly regarding the issue of either a refund or credit note. Please allow a further 3-5 working days for the refund to appear in your account.
