For over 60 years, we’ve been setting the standard for solar systems in Australia. Our systems are designed for the harshest Australian conditions. Quality is ingrained in everything we do and our obsession with solar technologies is well documented.
Our solar power systems only use world-leading REC panels and the world’s best quality inverters. Our solar panels are consistent with Solahart’s quality and performance requirements, using quality polycrystalline cells, anti-reflective glass and textured cells for greater sunlight absorption.
Meanwhile, our solar water heaters have established an unparalleled reputation for quality and efficiency. Our core range consists of roof-mounted systems and split systems, where the tanks are located on the ground.
In 2016, we joined the home battery revolution with Tesla Powerwall, the world’s leading home battery. A brilliant past. An even brighter future
In 1953, SW Hart and Co., a pioneering plumbing company based in Perth, decided that the sun was the best energy source to heat water in Western Australian homes. As a result, solar hot water in Australia was born and Solahart geared up for expansion. Since then we’ve built a reputation as a world leader in solar innovation and technology and invested millions of dollars into R&D and manufacturing. We’ve also installed over one million systems in over 70 countries around the world. We’re at Everest Base Camp and Antarctica. Even Nelson Mandela’s South African home had a Solahart system installed on the roof. Today, after more than 60 years as Australia’s free energy experts, we’re set to turn our brilliant past into an even brighter future
Continuous Improvement
One of the keys to our success over the years has been the relentless pursuit of innovation. Our research capabilities and our solar testing laboratory are recognised internationally as Australia’s finest. We have developed a ‘Centre of Excellence’ approach for advanced technologies with an enviable Research & Development team across our manufacturing locations committed to developing the next generation of solar water heaters and assessing the latest solar energy technologies.
One thing is certain as we move forward to the future of solar – each generation of solar products we offer will be fundamentally better than the last and meet our own stringent standards of quality and performance.
The Benefits of Going Solar
Reduce your energy bills now
Solar is a great way to reduce your energy bills and your reliance on energy companies by harnessing the sun’s free energy. Solahart has been delivering hot water free from the sun to households around the world for over 60 years and today our range has expanded to include solar power (PV) and battery storage technology. Replace your old gas or electric water heater with a Solahart solar water heater and save 50%-90% of your hot water energy use. Install a Solahart PV system to provide power to your home and supplement this with a Tesla Powerwall battery to store free power for use at night or when the sun’s not shining. Any surplus power can then be fed back into the grid.
Because Solahart provides all three solutions, you will get unbiased advice on the best system for your needs. We also insist our dealers and installers are fully trained to ensure a quality installation.
Solahart also has an extensive range of commercial solutions for businesses trying to reduce their energy bills, particularly where they use a lot of hot water or power during daylight hours.
A more sustainable future
Switch to a Solahart solar water heater and save up to 3 tonnes of carbon emissions per year, which is equivalent to taking a small car off the road. Install a Solahart PV system to enjoy more independence from the grid and then add a Tesla Powerwall battery for a complete solution. Our goal is to help you make the decision on which solar solution best suits you, to not only save you money but also reduce your carbon footprint and live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Take advantage of Government incentives
The great news about residential and commercial solar is that the Government has included both solar hot water and PV as technologies which are eligible for incentives known as Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which are linked to Australia’s Renewable Energy Target (RET). The value of STCs fluctuate depending on market factors, however are currently worth over $1,000 for a typical solar water heater and up to $4,000 for a large residential PV system. In commercial applications the incentive increases significantly, as systems go up in size. These incentives are generally paid as a point of sale discount, thus greatly reducing the up-front cost of going solar – your local Solahart dealer will be able to provide all the information you need during a free on-site solar assessment.
Increase the value of your home
The majority of Australians believe solar power-equipped homes are more valuable than those relying on traditional means of electricity according to research conducted by a leading real estate online website in 2015. There are many other studies done here in Australia and around the world that support this research and although the value is not quantifiable, you would imagine a home with PV or solar hot water would be more saleable than a similar property which is not as energy efficient or eco-friendly. Installing a Solahart solar solution means the home has the added benefit of a brand with over 60 years’ experience in solar for even more peace of mind.
