Acupuncture
As an integral component of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture has always been used in combination with massage and exercise to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries.
Acupuncture (as well as its western derivative – dry needling), can be combined with modern sports medicine protocols to be highly effective in the treatment of sports injuries due to therapeutic effects on muscle spasm, pain reduction, increased local circulation and moderation of the inflammatory process.
Here at Springwood Sports Health, our acupuncturists treat sports injuries using a combination of acupuncture, massage and exercise prescription to achieve the most effective results.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy at our Springwood clinic is co-ordinated by a physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in musculoskeletal treatment. Our physiotherapists utilise soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, Trigger Point needling, assisted stretching, and exercise prescription in order to reduce pain and improve musculoskeletal function.
