Remedial/ Deep Tissue Massage:  Assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. A range of manual therapy techniques could be employed in treatment such as postural assessment and addressing any patterns of strain, Deep Connective Tissue massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Techniques and stretching of the muscles.

Sports Massage: To assist in treatment and prevention of injuries, improve flexibility, recovery, endurance and performance of athletes and sport enthusiasts.

Relaxation Massage: Promotes wellbeing, improve sleep, help with anxiety and tension and enhance a range of systemic body functions such as circulation.  Swedish massage techniques are often used in Relaxation Massage as the long gliding strokes decrease stress and induce relaxation.

Reflexology: Is a deeply relaxing yet invigorating system of massage used to relieve tension and treat illness, based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet and lower legs linked to every part of the body.

Lymphatic Drainage: Lymphatic drainage is a gentle therapy to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph from the body tissue. Lymphatic Drainage does not feel like a “massage” but it is very relaxing.  The therapists touch will often be very light to moderate and include rhythmic movements.   Generally a series of Lymphatic Drainage sessions are required and the frequency of these are determined according to the needs of the client.  Lymphatic Drainage can assist with stimulating the immune and circulatory systems and relaxing the nervous system.

Oncology: Oncology Massage is a gentle massage that focuses on eliciting the relaxation response in clients who have cancer, are in treatment for cancer or who have a history of cancer. This massage can help with the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.  It can assist in the reduction of fatigue, pain, nausea, anxiety and depression.  Light, relaxing massage can safely be given to people at all stages of cancer.  Tumour or treatment sites are not massaged.

Pregnancy: Pregnancy massage, also known as prenatal massage is specifically tailored for the expectant mother’s needs.  It can help to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints, including back pain often associated with pregnancy.

Trigger Point Therapy: A trigger point is a tight or hyper-irritable area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point can feel like a nodule or a knot and can be painful or unnoticed by the client until pressure is applied by the practitioner. Using Trigger Point Therapy during a massage, the point can be released and the referred pain elsewhere in the body relieved.
