About Dragonfly

Dragonfly is a unique concept store providing the fashion-savvy parent with a new generation of Baby & kids’s clothing, toys and accessories collected from our travels around the globe.
Combining the works of both young & upcoming designers, with those of already established fashion icons, Dragonfly simmers with creativity, vibrant colours and exclusive products. Children & parents are equally overwhelmed by the warmth & ambience that immediately bubbles over as you enter the store. Whether you are the eclectic boho, the organic-loving greenie, the stove-pipe wearing muso, or the classic parent simply searching for that special item, Dragonfly is ever-changing and continues to inspire.

Dragonfly ‘metamorphosed’ in July 2006 when two Burleigh Heads-based mothers, pooled their experience in the retail, communications, business & child-health sectors to create a ‘hub’ for all things cool for kids.

Bringing together the industrial come French-Baroque styled interiors & the groovy background tunes that are sure to get your foot tapping; Dragonfly provides so much more than your average retail store.

Dragonfly represents everything that is valuable to us, and our respective families. The products in our store are there because we have used them, trust them and can recommend them to you! The staff are there because we like the people they are! The music we choose to play brings back ‘that time when…’! The store is an extension of our private homes and we invite you in to our living room to share the experience that is Dragonfly.

Returns/Exchanges
We aim to provide you with the best online shopping experience, and it’s really important that you love your purchase from Dragonfly.

If you would like to return or exchange an item, please contact us as soon as possible by email shop@dragonflystore.com.au or by phone 07 5576 4465, indicating the reason for the return. You will then be issued with an authorisation number that must be included with the returned item.

The item must be returned Dragonfly within 14 days of the shipping date. It must be unwashed, unworn and in original condition (this includes all original tags and packaging, and protective shields on swimsuit bottoms).
This does not mean you cannot try it on for size!

If the returned item was on sale, unless the item is deemed faulty, a refund is provided in the form of an exchange or credit note only to use toward future purchases. Alternatively, you can make an exchange for an item of the same value. Return items that have been worn, damaged or altered from their original state will not be exchanged or credited, and will be returned to the customer. We regret that we are unable to refund original shipping and handling costs, unless the item was faulty or not as ordered.

Upon inspecting the returned item, we will the gladly exchange the item or provide you with a credit note, or credit your original method of payment. (whichever is appropriate)

Dragonfly can’t always guarantee availability of products as our stock is seasonal and therefore, limited. If you would like to exchange for a different size, please follow the instructions noted above for returns.
Refunds and exchanges are generally processed within 1-3 days of Dragonfly receiving the goods. Please remember to include with the return a copy of the original invoice or the original order details such as the order number, name, postal address and phone number AND your authorisation number.

Faulty or Damaged Items
Please note that all items are checked thoroughly before sending by our staff. In the unlikely event that you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please contact us by email shop@dragonflystore.com.au or by phone 07 5576 4465, and we will organise a replacement for you.

Shipping
At Dragonfly we like to make your online shopping experience as pleasant and simple as possible, so our shipping methods have been designed to get your order to you both quickly and securely.

Shipping within Australia
Orders will be dispatched with 24 hours of placement or the next business day.

Where possible, orders placed before 2pm will be shipped on the same business day.

A flat rate of $9.90 shipping is charged on all orders*
 Any orders over $150 are shipped free of charge* within Australia.

Orders are shipped via Australia Post Express Post and are fully traceable.

In most cases orders will be received within 1-2 business days of shipping. Bulky items or deliveries to remote locations may take longer.

If you choose in store pick up, your order will be held for your collection at our retail store at 17 James Street Burleigh Heads Qld for a maximum of 3 days. Payment can be made at the time of collection.

*Please Note: Larger items are measured on the cubic weight and may incur an extra charge by the carrier. If an extra charge is payable we will contact you to confirm payment before your order is dispatched. You will then have the option of changing or cancelling your order.

Shipping outside of Australia
We love connecting with people outside Australia, and send international orders via registered airmail. Airmail typically takes between 3-10 business days to most global commercial centres, depending on location. If no one is home to receive your delivery, local postal guidelines apply.
Orders will be dispatched within 48 hours of placement.

Orders are shipped via:

Australia Post International Standard – generally 3-10 business days.

Australia Post International Express – generally 3-7 business days.

Shipping costs will be calculated at the checkout.

Payment Options

ORDERING & PAYMENT
You can buy online from Dragonfly 24 hours a day. After you place your order, an email confirmation including an order number, will be sent to the e-mail address that was entered on your order form. Once your payment has been approved, your order will be packed and dispatched and you will be notified by email.

PRICING
All prices listed on this website are in Australia dollars (AUD) and includes 10% GST. Dragonfly reserves the right to change pricing at any time and without notice.

PAYMENT METHODS
We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and direct deposit. Note that the direct deposit payment option is for Australian customers only.
Local customers may also choose to pick up your order from our retail store at 17 James Street Burleigh Heads Qld. In this case your order will be held for a maximum of 3 days and payment can be made at the time of collection.

When paying by credit card, we want you to feel confident that your personal information and credit card data is completely safe. We do not receive or store any credit card information. This information is taken and processed on our behalf by our Australian payment processor (Eway) who will validate the credit card for authorisation and payment to our bank account.

Our online system automatically encrypts all your details using the latest SSL encrypted connection.

When paying by direct deposit you will be given full payment instructions, including our banking details, upon checkout. Your order will be dispatched once your payment has been confirmed. You are given 3 business days to pay, if payment is not received in this timeframe, purchased items will be returned to stock unless you contact us to make other arrangements. Please note, it can take one complete business day for funds deposited via online banking to appear in our account. Our standard shipping times apply from that point.

We do not receive or store any credit card information. This information is taken and processed on our behalf by our Australian payment processor (Eway) who will validate the credit card for authorisation and payment to our bank account.

Dragonfly also collects email addresses at various locations within the site (including when you order from the site or register as a user) so that we can send you any necessary e-mail messages related to your order, such as an order confirmation notice.

In addition, we maintain a record of your product interests, and anything else that might enable us to personalize your shopping experience.
