The Richmond Osteopathic Clinic has been operating in Richmond for over 10 years. Conveniently located at 297 Burnley Street, there is plenty of parking nearby and easy access via tram (Bridge Rd and Swan St) or train (Burnley Station).
All of our osteopaths are registered with the Osteopathic Registration Board of Victoria and are members of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
At the Richmond Osteopathic Clinic we endeavour to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, whilst still providing excellence in our care. We are always punctual, and with 30 minute treatment times, we have ample time to fully examine and treat your problem.
Our philosophy is based on identifying the cause of your pain, treating it accordingly and giving you advice on how to prevent further recurrences. We do not believe in unnecessary on-going treatment. Some conditions only take one or two treatments to solve, other more complex or chronic problems may require an on-going treatment plan specific to your condition.
Most commonly we treat: neck and shoulder pain; headaches and migraine; lower back pain; workplace and sports injuries. We treat your condition using a variety of manual techniques including deep tissue massage and spinal joint manipulation. If we are unable to help alleviate or reduce your pain, we have a reliable medical network we use to help you get to the root of your condition (ie sports and spinal specialists, surgeons, podiatrists, naturopaths etc). We will also refer for further examinations (ie x-ray, MRI or ultrasound) if we think it necessary to your particular condition.
Treatment at the clinic is covered by all Private Health Funds, and we have the HICAPS facility so you can claim for your treatment on the spot. You do not need a referral to see us, and we are able to give you a medical certificate if deemed appropriate. We are registered for Workcover and TAC treatment, along with the Government’s Enhanced Primary Care program which you may be eligible for.

Reviews
“Daniel Surkitt is the Yoda of the Osteopathic Universe. I have been a client of his for about 15+ years now and would never consider going to anyone else. Truly talented.”
“Daniel Surkitt is absolutely fantastic at his profession, very knowledgeable and experienced and highly recommend to all A+++++”
“Daniel Surkitt is the consummate professional and I have experienced great confidence in him as he practises his craft of osteopathy. He has treated me now over approximately 4 years (and only for around 3 visits when I get into a bit of trouble!), and always with a plan and never with the notion of over treating in an attempt to maintain the control without some positive results. So far I have avoided surgery, and this time am optimistic as I follow his direction that I can manage things conservatively. I have no hesitation in recommending him”
